Lecturer in Sport and Leisure Policy, University of Edinburgh

My research interests lie in sport and international relations (diplomacy), sport media and communication ((post)structuralism and semiotics), and globalisation of sports.

I edited (with two co-editors) "Routledge Handbook of Sport and Politics (2017)"

I am also a founding member of the Edinburgh Critical Studies in Sport (ECSS) research group (https://www.ed.ac.uk/education/rke/centres-groups/ecss).

My recent research projects include 1) The Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games and the divided Koren peninsula, and 2) East Asian geopolitics and the three sports mega-events (the 2018, 2020, and 2022 Olympics).
