I am currently conducting a PhD at the University of Melbourne on decision-making processes for biodiversity conservation. Before returning to study, I have worked several years as a Research Assistant on the dispersal and connectivity of marine organisms that are of importance for fisheries and conservation management at the University of Melbourne, and 5 years at the Center of Excellence for Environmental Decisions at the University of Queensland in a range of projects addressing decision making in the environmental policy context. I have collaborated and liaised with different government bodies and have written and published for a range of journals and magazines as first author and co-author. I have done additional course work in communication psychology and mediation during my studies in Germany, which left me with a passion for communication and paying attention to group dynamics and reasons for conflicts.
