Research Associate on Science Technology Policy, University of Sussex

Originally trained as a biologist before embarking on a more policy oriented path. In 2012 I completed a DPhil in Science & Technology Policy looking at the evolution of bioterrorism policy.

I focus on policy responses to the problem of chemical and biological weapons in the changing context of conflict; ethics and societal impact of CBW; international regimes; risk & threat assessment; and the management and governance of technology and innovation.

I have studied and worked at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex, lectured for a few years at the Institute of International Relations of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and am currently a consultant on arms control, based in Germany.
