Associate Professor, Beijing Normal University

Dr. Kan Wei had been working as a history teacher at a high school in Beijing for 7 years before he obtained Ph.D. degree at the University of Manchester, UK in 2007. His main research interests lie in the teaching theories and curriculum studies, qualitative studies in the field of classroom. Published more than twenty papers and research reports in the field of curriculum and teaching, he is currently working as an Associate Professor at Institute of Curriculum and Pedagogy, Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University. His latest work Constructivism Teaching: Reshaping and recasting in the context of Chinese high school system will be published by the Springer Press soon. Also, he has worked as researcher fellow on a number of project, included teaching effectiveness and school-based curriculum design for Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Commission of Education since 2008. In most recently he has worked as an independent consultant to local authorities, and collaborated with colleagues at the Beijing Normal University, on a wide range of Classroom Improvement for secondary schools.
