Lecturer in Marketing, The University of Melbourne

Dr Meshram's research is predominantly in the area of marketplace discrimination with focus on modern slavery, consumer vulnerability and social inequality (caste based discrimination). Her PhD thesis focused on social networks of vulnerable consumer groups and its market impact. She has expertise in multi-research methods from casual modeling to narrative research and natural language processing for big data analysis. She is particularly interested in linguistic theorisation of marketing phenomenon to understand how language drives market behaviours.

Prior to being an academic, Kanika worked as a brand consultant with Morris Hargreaves McIntyre and Brand Matters.
