Dr Karen McCulloch is a mathematical modeller with an interest in modelling infectious disease dynamics. She has a PhD in applied mathematics from Massey University in New Zealand and has a particular interest in incorporating spatial aspects into models of infectious diseases. Her current research is focused on estimating the current and future burden of chronic hepatitis B infection in Australia to measure progress towards national strategy targets.
