Karen Shalev Greene

Director of Centre for the Study of Missing Persons, University of Portsmouth

Dr. Karen Shalev Greene is a Senior Lecturer with the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Portsmouth, and is Director of the Centre for the Study of Missing Persons. She served in the Israeli Air Force Intelligence between 1991-1993. She graduated with a B.A. in Criminology and English literature from Bar Ilan University, Israel in 1997.

She then graduated with an MSc in Investigative Psychology at the University of Liverpool in 1999 and with a PhD in Investigative Psychology in 2004. She is the Director of the Centre for the Study of Missing Persons, founded in May 2012. She collaborates on various research projects with Police agencies, Police forces, NGO’s and other academics in the field from the UK and internationally.
