Karen W. Gavigan

Karen Gavigan is a Professor and the Interim Director in the School of Information Science at the University of South Carolina. She worked as a school librarian for 15 years. Dr. Gavigan has conducted research on a variety of school library issues such as the instructional role of the school librarian. Her research interests also include the use of graphic novels and other resources in K-12 libraries and classrooms.
