Dr Kate Helmstedt is a mathematician who uses models and decision science to understand ecosystems, how people interact with them, and how they can best be protected in the future. She is a Senior Lecturer in mathematics at Queensland University of Technology, a researcher in the QUT Centre for Data Science, and an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research (DECRA) Fellow.
