Associate professor, The University of Queensland

I lead the chemical-environmental engineering program at the University of Queensland. I undertake research in environmental systems modelling, analysis and synthesis. This involves working in interdisciplinary teams with ecologists, engineers, economists, remote sensing, social and field scientists. The key question driving my research is, how can scientific knowledge in complex systems be synthesized to inform management actions and promote sustainability? I'm also investigating sustainable solutions to work-home conflict, to enable genuine workforce diversity.
