Katharine is Lecturer in the Public Understanding of Politics at the University of Sheffield.

Her research focuses on political parties, ideology, political communication, participation, democracy, governance, political disengagement and participation.

Katharine is also Deputy Director of the Sir Bernard Crick Centre for the Public Understanding of Politics (http://www.crickcentre.org/)
