Kathleen Padilla

Graduate Student of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Arizona State University

Kathleen is a fifth year doctoral student in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She received her Master's of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from ASU in 2016 and her Bachelor's of Criminal Justice from New Mexico State University in 2014. In addition to teaching, Kathleen is currently working with Dr. Adam Fine in the Youth Justice Lab, interviewing first responders regarding their experiences participating in in-school programs with youth. Her primary research interests involve policing, including officer stress and stress interventions, mental health and wellness, public perceptions of law enforcement, particularly among youth, and the application of criminological theory to police work.
