I have completed a PhD with an interdisciplinary thesis entitled African womanhood, Health, Sexuality & Incontinent Bodies: A Case of Kenyan women living with Vaginal Fistulas. I also hold a Master in Counseling and Psychotherapy, and a Bachelor of Arts and Social Work with First Class Honours, Currently, I am a Lecturer at Southern Cross University where I teach in the school of Arts and Social sciences undergraduate and post graduate program across a range of subjects. I have published on areas of African women’s health and well-being and have recently been awarded the “Young Kenyan of the Year” for my efforts and work with African communities in Australia.
