I am interested in the effects of language, culture and schooling on children's cognitive development.
I currently work on a variety of topics including:
Language learning and language assessment across cultures and languages (UK, South Africa, Poland).
The impact of health and schooling on development (Kenya, Indonesia).
Children's thinking around sex stereotyping (UK and cross-culturally).
Neurodiverse development and developmental disorders e.g. Down Syndrome, autism, and language and cognition in these groups.
