My research is in moral psychology, feminist philosophy, and social and political philosophy. It explores the ways in which people's emotions and actions are affected by where they are situated within systems of oppression (e.g., sexism, racism, colonialism). My current work is primarily on the nature and value of emotions in response to injustice including hope, trust, anger, bitterness, shock, and faith. I also have an interest in bioethics, and in particular, the roles of hope and solidarity in public health.
