Katja Lee works on issues relating to identity and identity performance, in particular celebrity, persona, and life writing. She is a Managing Editor of the journal Persona Studies and author of multiple journal articles on celebrity and life writing. Her peer-reviewed book, Limelight: Canadian Women and the Rise of Celebrity Autobiography, was published in 2020 by Wilfrid Laurier University Press. She has also co-edited two scholarly collections: Celebrity Cultures in Canada and Contemporary Publics, and teaches in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Western Australia.
