Principal Lecturer in Education, University of Brighton

Keith's research focuses on how digital technologies bring both opportunities and tensions to the processes of education and professional learning. He has particular interests in teacher education and development, digital pedagogies, and computing education. He has published widely in these areas.

Keith is co-leader of the cross-university Narrative and Biographical Methodologies Research Group which brings together scholars who listen to educators’ and learners’ stories to better understand their experiences and worldviews. Keith undertakes doctoral supervision and teaches across a wide range of postgraduate and undergraduate provision. He also mentors colleagues within the School of Education, supporting their academic writing and professional development.

He joined the University of Brighton as Senior Lecturer, after a long and successful career as a primary school teacher, fulfilling various leadership roles. Keith completed his PhD in 2011, and became Principal Lecturer in 2013.
