Keith's research focuses on how digital technologies bring both opportunities and tensions to the processes of education and professional learning. He has particular interests in teacher education and development, digital pedagogies, and computing education. He has published widely in these areas.

He joined the University of Brighton as Senior Lecturer, after a long and successful career as a primary school teacher, fulfilling various leadership roles. Keith completed his PhD in 2011.
