I completed my undergraduate and Honours degrees in Cell Biology (in 1997 and 1998 respectively) from the University of Natal (now UKZN). I then completed a Master of Science degree in Plant Cryopreservation in 2000, followed by the completion of my PhD in Plant Stress Physiology in 2007. I was employed in the School of Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences at Wits University from 2002 till 2014, during which time I taught undergrad and postgrad courses in Cell Biology and Plant Stress Physiology. However, my passion lies in the field of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, hence my decision to pursue a slightly different career path - Academic Development. I am currently employed in the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Development (CLTD) at Wits.
