Kevin A. Wright is an Assistant Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. Dr. Wright earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Washington State University in 2010. His research interests include criminological theory and correctional policy, and his work has appeared in Criminology, Justice Quarterly, and Criminology & Public Policy. Dr. Wright’s current research examines the impact that prison visitation has on recidivism, a project that is funded by the National Science Foundation. His work on ecological context and recidivism received the 2014 Donal MacNamara Award for best journal publication as awarded by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and he was recently named Emerging Community Solutions Scholar by Arizona State University’s College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
