I am one of the nation’s leading education law experts with a quarter of a century of education law and policy experience in K-20 education and expertise regarding educational equity, school funding, education and democracy, equal opportunity, civil rights, Title IX and federalism. I am the editor of A Federal Right to Education: Fundamental Questions for Our Democracy (NYU Press 2019) and I co-edited The Enduring Legacy of Rodriguez: Creating New Pathways to Equal Educational Opportunities (Harvard University Press 2015). I practiced education law with Hogan Lovells and served in the US Department of Education's Office of the General Counsel.
