Kirby Swales

Kirby Swales has been Director of NatCen’s Survey Research Centre since June 2014, and oversees the delivery of a number of large, complex survey projects. He is responsible for improving NatCen’s survey capability, and is committed to maximising the impact of data on society. Kirby has a strong background of research management and commissioning, having over ten years’ experience as a research manager in central government. He was also Chief Executive of the EC1 New Deal for Communities programme, and help set up the Big Local programme.
