PhD Candidate Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Newcastle

Kirrilly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and PhD candidate the University of Newcastle having graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2011 with Honours Class 1 and the University medal. Kirrilly's research interests include investigating whether specific foods or eating behaviours could facilitate an addictive-like response in certain individuals. She is also interested in the application of cutting-edge, emerging technologies such as functional MRI to the nutrition research domain as well as identifying novel treatment approaches for obesity.

Kirrilly is supported by the Jennie Thomas Travel grant through the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), The Neville Eric Sansom Diabetes Scholarship and the Robin McDonald Scholarship through the Hunter Valley Research Foundation.
