Dr Kirsten Windfuhr is Research Fellow and Senior Project Manager for the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness (NCISH), part of the Centre for Mental Health and Risk at the University of Manchester. Dr Windfuhr received her PhD in Psychology from the University of York (UK) in 1999 and went on to study for an MA in Health Care Ethics and Law from the University of Manchester in 2006. For the past decade, her research interests have focused on suicide and suicide prevention in patients with mental illness, with a particular interest in child and adolescent suicide.
