Kylie Sturgess is a PhD student at Murdoch University. As a part of her M.Ed focusing on anomalistic psychology, she investigates and reported on paranormal, superstitions and pseudoscientific topics and how they intersect with popular culture. Her Masters thesis resulted in co-authoring a paper for the journal Personality and Individual Differences, called "The structure of superstitious action – A further analysis of fresh evidence" (2011). She taught philosophy at secondary and tertiary level in Western Australia and currently tutors in introduction to broadcasting and creative radio.
