Landolf Rhode-Barbarigos

Landolf Rhode-Barbarigos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Miami. His research focuses on structural morphology and morphogenesis. Structural morphology refers to the study of the relation between a structure, its function, form, material, and forces, while structural morphogenesis, in an analogy with biology, represents the processes that control the organized spatial distribution of material and modules in a structural system. He explores these concepts to design tomorrow's structures with applications varying from marine and coastal structures to building and infrastructure systems to space structures.
