Senior Researcher, Centre for Employee and Consumer Wellbeing, Deakin University

Laura is a researcher for Deakin University, where she also completed her postgraduate degrees in Marketing and Writing and Literature. With an undergraduate degree in film theory from UNSW, her multidisciplinary background has fuelled her current research interests in gender studies, social marketing, health promotion, and consumer behaviour.

During her time at Deakin she has worked on projects for The Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Consumer Action Law Centre, the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) and consulted with Deakin's School of Psychology on behavioural change and health promotion in preconception and pregnancy. She also works as a researcher for private firms, largely in the field of health.

Most recently Laura has presented at the Academy of Marketing 2017 Conference on the ethics of women's health promotion on Instagram.
