Senior Research Consultant, Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology Sydney

Laura is a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney. Laura's research focuses in the areas of urban sustainability, city resilience and social sustainability. With a background in urban planning and sustainability, Laura conducts research projects focused on improving the sustainability and liveability of our cities. She is currently undertaking a PhD through the University of Tasmania looking into the responses of public housing tenants to estate renewals and associated gentrification.

Laura has recently undertaken projects relating to the future of peri-urban agriculture in the Sydney Basin, cohousing as a housing alternative for Australian seniors, and community perceptions of remediation technologies.
