Leanne McCormick

Senior Lecturer in Modern Irish Social History, Ulster University

Leanne McCormick is Senior Lecturer in Modern Irish Social History at Ulster University. She has published widely on areas relating to sexuality, women and history of medicine with a focus on twentieth century Northern Ireland. She is currently working on a Department of Health NI funded project on Magdalene Laundries/Mother and Baby Homes in Northern Ireland and is Principal Investigator on the AHRC-funded ‘Bad Bridget’ project which focuses on criminal and deviant Irish women in North America, 1838–1918.
