Lee is a geographer that has been central to developing a portfolio of projects related to Disaster Risk Management and the inter-disciplinary integration of proactive hazard mitigation strategies into the decision-making processes of key construction and non-construction stakeholders. Other research and teaching interests are related to, international development, sustainable vulnerability reduction as well as the technical, social and institutional roles in improving the resilience of society and critica assets to natural and human-induced hazards. Lee’s books include ‘Disaster risk reduction for the built environment’ (2017) and ‘Hazards and the Built Environment’ (2008).
