Senior lecturer at the Wits School of Education, University of the Witwatersrand

Dr. Rusznyak began her teaching career at one of the first public schools to be racially desegregated in 1992. Since joining the tertiary sector, she has lectured geography, physics and teaching methodology to undergraduate student teachers.

She currently heads the Teaching Experience programme in which she oversees the placement, mentoring and assessment of around 1400 student teachers during their annual sessions of practical teaching.

She works to coordinate the Teaching Experience practicals with the other B Ed courses and has been part of a process of initial teacher education curriculum design.
