Vice-Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellow, RMIT University

Dr Leonora Risse holds a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University.

She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Queensland in 2008 and has previously served as a Senior Research Economist for the Australian Productivity Commission.

Her research publications span the fields of labour economics, demographic and population economics, efficiency analysis, health and wellbeing, disadvantage, and gender equality issues with particular focus on economic psychology. In the policy arena, she has made analytical contributions to a wide range of government advisory reports, particularly on employment and education issues.

Dr Risse was a founding committee member of the Economic Society of Australia's Women in Economics Network (WEN) in Australia. She currently serves as WEN National Secretary and Chair of the Victorian WEN Committee. She sits on the Victorian Council of the Economic Society of Australia.
