Lesley Pruitt (BA in Political Science, Arkansas State University; Masters of International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution, University of Queensland (UQ); PhD, Political Science and International Studies, UQ) is a senior lecturer in Politics & International Relations at Monash University in Melbourne. A Truman Scholar and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, Lesley specializes in peace and conflict studies, especially looking at the role of women and young people in building more peaceful societies. Her books include Youth Peacebuilding: Music, Gender, and Change (SUNY Press 2013) and The Women in Blue Helmets: Gender, Policing and the UN's First All-Female Peacekeeping Unit (University of California Press 2016).
