Liam Sanders is a senior applied biomechanist and sports biomechanics researcher. After 5 years working as a performance scientist and biomechanist with England Cricket, working across the majority of senior men’s programs, Liam moved to work for the English Institute of Sport in February 2015 as Head of Sport Science and Medicine with British Speed Skating before moving into the Performance Innovation team whilst undertaking a biomechanics technical leadership role in spring 2016.
Working in the Performance Innovation Team with Team GB, Liam leads and supports on projects exploring and developing innovative human science approaches to performance questions with a range Olympic sports, across the high performance sporting system.
Further to applied support, Liam continues to undertake sports biomechanics and motor control research for England Cricket and the Loughborough University Sports Biomechanics research group.
