I am an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have been a scientific researcher since senior year of high school; for two years, I helped characterize solvent polarity-dependent photophysical properties of hydroporphyrin dyads towards application in photodynamic therapy. Since last year, I have been examining communication between plant innate immunity and circadian rhythm in Arabidopsis, and my current project is focused on the effects pathogen-induced defense have on the Arabidopsis circadian clock.
