Dr Linden Ashcroft is a lecturer in climate science and science communication at the University of Melbourne. Originally from country Victoria, Linden’s career has spanned the academic, government and non-for-profit sectors, working in historical weather data rescue, climate science communication, and citizen science.

Her work on historical weather information in Australia has improved global climate models of past atmospheric behaviour, and is used by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in their assessments of climate variability and change.

Linden is an award-winning science communicator, and a regular on community radio in Melbourne. Linden was part of the competitive 2019–2020 Science and Technology Australia Superstars of STEM program aimed at smashing gender stereotypes in science.
