Dr Lise Johns graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2007 (Honours), subsequently working as a hospital social worker for seven years. During this time she worked extensively with palliative care patients and their families. Lise undertook a PhD from 2010-2014, researching psychosocial needs of terminally ill clients living in rural and remote areas of Australia. Since her doctorate graduation in 2014, Lise has worked as a full-time lecturer and researcher for Griffith University. She continues to research and publish on topics relating to end-of-life care, palliative care service delivery and bereavement.
