Loko Yêyinou Laura Estelle

Dr LOKO Yêyinou Laura Estelle is an associate professor of Zoology and Genetics at the National High School of Applied Biosciences and Biotechnologies (ENSBBA) of the National University of Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (UNSTIM) in the Republic of Benin. She is graduated from the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) with a Master’s degree in applied entomology obtained in 2010 and a PhD in plant genetic resources and crop protection obtained in 2013. She is the head of ENSBBA and head of the Laboratory of Applied Entomology (LEnA / ENSBBA). Her scientific work deals with innovative and environmentally friendly control methods for crop protection against insect pests. She has published more than 80 scientific articles, nearly half of which in international journals with an impact factor. She was a laureate of the L'Oréal-Unesco regional post-doctoral fellowship for women in Sciences of Sub-Saharan Africa (2014) and laureate of the One Planet Fellowship initiative (2020). She is a member of the Academy of Young Scientists of Benin (AJSB), and member of the Permanent Commissions of "Agriculture" and "Education and Ethics" of the National Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters of Benin (ANSALB).
