Dr James is interested in how immune memory is regulated and maintained. Of particular interest is how different microenvironments influence B cell development and antibody production. Dr James’ team combine different experimental techniques to analyse B cells and their antibody sequences in human blood and tissue samples. Our goal is that by understanding how B cell memory is induced and maintained we can develop strategies that manipulate antibody responses for therapeutic benefit.
