Director, Centre for Big Data Research in Health, UNSW Sydney

Professor Jorm is an epidemiologist and health data scientist. She is Foundation Director of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health at UNSW Sydney. Prior to joining academia in 2007, she spent more than 15 years in government, including 10 years in senior roles in the NSW Ministry of Health. Her main current research interests are in application of advanced analytics to large scale electronic health data to create real-world evidence about topics including disparities in cardiovascular disease care and outcomes, safety and effectiveness of surgery and medical devices, and healthcare at end-of-life.
