Louise A Brown Nicholls

Senior Lecturer, University of Strathclyde

Dr Louise Nicholls is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde, and Director of the Strathclyde Ageing Network (SAN). SAN brings together ageing-related researchers across Strathclyde University to enhance ageing-related research collaborations and knowledge exchange. Prior to joining Strathclyde, she was a Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, and a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Edinburgh.

Louise's research is focused on understanding human memory and attention, and how these cognitive processes are affected by adult ageing. She is also interested in the cognitive impacts of emotion (anxiety), and the influence of lifestyle factors, such as nutrition and cognitive engagement, in later life.
