PhD candidate and co-owner of Desmond Tours, Technological University of the Shannon

I am a PhD researcher at Technological University of the Shannon (Ireland) since 2020, where I research a “lighter” form of dark tourism, dark tourism festivals. My research focuses on how emotional connections are built between festival participants and the festival brand, and how organisers can achieve this through the use of experiential marketing.

I am also co-owner and transport manager of a tour operating business called Desmond Tours - we provide custom private tours around the island of Ireland.
