Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford

Luke is working on the MaRIUS and TITAN projects, using weather@home simulations to investigate the drivers of extreme weather events from the early 20th Century over the UK and Europe. Luke will also explore how the broader characteristics of climate extremes will change with continued warming.

Prior to joining the ECI, Luke completed his PhD at the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, where he investigated novel approaches to quantify the emergence of anthropogenic climate change. This included an event-specific attribution study on the 2013 New Zealand drought, as well as highlighting differences in the emergence of heat extremes for the global population when aggregated by income grouping.
