Luke completed a doctorate in philosophy in 2017 with a focus on social and education philosophy. He currently is a researcher in critical thinking and citizenship education with the University of Queensland's Critical Thinking Project, and has an interest in non-electoral democratic theory.
Luke lectures and tutors philosophy at the University of Queensland, as well as being a practicing secondary teacher at Education Queensland's distance education school IMPACT Centre. He designs their Critical Thinking projects.
