Lynne had her PhD entitled 'Community-based Childhood Obesity Prevention' conferred in 2014. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Health Policy Collaboration (AHPC), Victoria University and a Project Director with the Australian Institute of Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS). At APHC, she provides the research underpinning the Australian Health Tracker series and her role there is to determine and track population levels of chronic diseases in Australia, add to the evidence base for the prevention of chronic diseases, and support policy that targets the determinants of chronic diseases. As a Project Director with AIMSS her research has two foci. The first is to incorporate musculoskeletal diseases prevalence, risk factors and adverse outcomes into the next Australian Health Tracker 2018. The second is to map the utilisation of hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements, performed for osteoarthritis, across the entire Brimbank region.
