Mabel Berezin is a sociologist at the Department of Sociology at Cornell University. She received her PhD in Sociology from Harvard University. Her main work is at the intersection of cultural and political sociology. Her work includes Making the Fascist Self: The Political Culture of Interwar Italy (Cornell 1997), Illiberal Politics in Neoliberal Times: Culture, Society and Populism in the New Europe (Cambridge 2009) and is the co-editor of Europe without Borders: Remapping territory, Citizenship, and Identity in a Transnational Age (Johns Hopkins 2004).
