Magdalena Frennhoff Larsén is teaching EU studies at the University of Westminster. Her PhD, which she obtained from the Centre for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminster, analysed EU-South Africa trade negotiations following South Africa's transition to democracy. She did her undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Lund, Sweden, and for her Master of Social Science she studied for a year at the University of Bologna and a year at the University of California, Irvine.
Prior to joining the University of Westminster, Dr Frennhoff Larsén worked as Development Director at the Institute for Citizenship and as Public Affairs Officer at the UK Office of the European Parliament.
Her main research interests are EU policy making, EU external relations, trade policy, development policy, and international institutions and negotiations.
