Senior Lecturer in Accounting, RMIT University

Mahesh is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Accounting at RMIT University. Mahesh has 30 years’ work experience as an academic in India and Australia. Mahesh’s qualifications include M. Com. (Accounting and Finance), PhD (Finance) and PG Diploma in Taxation Laws. Mahesh has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in financial management, behavioral finance and taxation laws in India; and he is currently teaching Contemporary Financial and Integrated Reporting at RMIT University.

Mahesh’s primary areas of research is Financial Reporting and Regulation, Capital Markets, Intellectual Capital and Blockchain Technology implications for accounting and financial services. Mahesh has published several articles in international peer reviewed journals and is serving on editorial boards of academic journals in the field of accounting and finance. With a focus on contemporary issues in accounting practice and education, Mahesh’s passion for curriculum innovations for teaching and research is aimed at delivering industry relevant learning experiences for students. Mahesh has received several teaching awards for his curriculum innovations and enhanced student learning experience.
