Research Associate, University of Manchester

Malte is a Research Associate student at the Sustainable Consumption Institute, University of Manchester.

In his PhD research—about which he regularly writes in The Conversation—, he explored the British Market for meat alternatives, particularly focusing on how meat alternatives are presented to be identical to meat on the one hand, and different from meat on the other hand.

Malte is broadly interested in researching the interrelation of technology and society, and how they shape and influence each other; of particular interest are how culture, society, and the environment are interrelated.
