AP Kavakli has been working on Human Computer Interaction (HCI) for 25 years.
She developed two knowledge based systems for the solution of specific design problems to gain her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1990 and 1995 from the Institute of Science and Technology in Istanbul.
She is currently continuing her research on HCI using virtual reality, innovative system design, learning, expertise building and cognition, as well as motion tracking in the field of computer games and training simulations.
In 2013, Dr Kavakli received a Research Professorship at the Virtual Immersion Research Group, Image Institute.
