Maree Smith

Maree Smith is Director of the Centre for Integrated Preclinical Drug Development and the Head of the Pain Research Group in the School of Pharmacy. She has considerable expertise and know-how in the pathobiology of pain, pain medicines and preclinical drug development, including rodent models of human disease, bioanalytical assays and pharmacokinetics. Apart from commercialisation of her own IP, Maree has considerable experience with milestone-driven, timeline-sensitive contract research-and-development studies in collaboration with industry and academic partners in the biopharmaceutical sector.
